We celebrate the release of the Frogmore Creek Evermore The limited production Evermore wines from Frogmore Creek are part of an unfinished project between our grapes and the winemakers. Every vintage we orchestrate several unconventional winemaking techniques for our microbatches of handpicked grapes, which each develop their own flavours, aromas and textures as they ferment and mature in barrel. These individual attributes layer together at blending, creating an immensely complex finished wine; Evermore interesting than the sum of its parts. Included in the Evermore range is a Sparkling Blanc de Noir and a limited release barrel ferment Riesling. The grapes for the 2007 Evermore Pinot Noir were treated to eight unconventional winemaking techniques, including wild ferment, carbonic maceration,whole-bunch ferment and co-fermentation with a small amount of pinot gris. At release in January 2011 this wine had aromas of dark cherries, lifted with savoury notes, following through to a multilayered palate with ripe plums, silken tannins and immense length. |
